How to use the 8 multiplication chart

Multiplication Problem:

A garden is planted with 8 rows of flowers, and each row contains 5 flowers. Determine the total number of flowers in the garden.

Number of rows in the garden = 8
Flowers in each row = 5
Total number of flowers = Number of rows × Flowers in each row

Therefore, the garden has a total of 8x5 = 40 flowers.

8 Times Table Tips and Tricks

The 8 times table is double, double, double! For 8×6: double 6=12, double 12=24, double 24=48. Also, the last digits follow a pattern: 8, 6, 4, 2, 0 and repeat (8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48...). For 8×9, remember it's the largest two-digit answer in basic tables: 72. The digits add up to 9 (7+2=9), which helps verify the answer.
