How to use the 99 multiplication chart

Multiplication Problem:

A warehouse stores 99 packages on each shelf. If there are 10 shelves, how many packages are stored?

Solution:

Packages per shelf = 99
Number of shelves = 10
Total packages = Packages per shelf × Number of shelves

Therefore, a total of 99×10 = 990 packages are stored.

Check the row 99 of your multiplication chart and then go to the column 10 inside that row; the number in that cell is: 990
